What is individual Counselling?

Individual counselling is a one-on-one discussion between a trained counsellor and a client, who is the person seeking help. It takes place in a private, confidential, and professional setting.

The purpose of individual counselling is to help the client explore their feelings, behaviors, emotions, and beliefs in a safe and caring environment. It allows the client to discuss their immediate or near-future concerns, such as personal issues, relationships, career challenges, or mental health problems

During the counselling sessions, the counsellor and client form a bond that enables trust and personal growth. The counsellor listens to the client, tries to understand their life situation, and helps them identify aspects of their life they would like to change. Together, they explore different perspectives, understand the emotional aspects of the situation, and work towards achieving the client’s goals

Individual counselling aims to help clients heal, change negative thought patterns or behaviors, and develop healthier behaviors and thought processes. It provides a supportive environment for self-discovery, growth, and personal development
